I get it, I really do and this is where I thrive!

I am here to make your photo session easy and fun. I know all of the tricks to make the experience go smoothly so that you can just relax. I will be happy to hold your hand the whole way or I can just offer you my suggestions and ideas and let you run with it. Whatever level of help you need, I am here for you!

We will take it step by step to figure out things like what to wear and where to go and how to get the best photos. After the session I can even help you with the printing and framing of your new beautiful photos.

So whether you want to update your family photos or your baby is graduating High School already – you are in the right place.

How to get Ready for Photos

We start with a phone call to discuss your ideas and I will have some questions about what your family likes to do and what all of the personalities are like. I want to understand your vision and learn more about you so that session will truly reflect you and your family.

Then I will start planning your unique session. I always have lots of ideas and am open to yours. You can reach out to me anytime from the moment you book your session until the delivery of your photos!

Your Unique Session

I send you a guide full of ideas on what clothing works best and how to create color harmony that will make everyone look great! I have a styling service and can even do the online shopping for you and just send you the links.

When you have questions about ‘where is the best location for photos?’ or ‘what if my kids act crazy?’ or ‘what if it rains?’, I have answers for all of those and more. My session prep guide is full of tips on things you might not have even considered yet!

Help with Displaying Your Artwork

In the planning its good to think about what you will do with the finished images so that we can create with that vision in mind. There are lots of options available including a gallery display wall with beautiful canvas prints or opting for a modern metal look. If you are short on wall space a stunning coffee table book is a great way to keep your photos at your fingertips. For your digital needs, we provide files sized for websites for easy uploading plus high-resolution print-ready files.

Joanne has been our family photographer for 10 years.

As a busy family it can be hectic to get dressed and take photos together in an organized way. Somehow, Joanne makes the whole process easy and fun. She gives us advice on what to wear but still keeping the whole process informal and down to earth which is why we love her! We cherish our photos so much and are so glad to have them as we watch the kids grow so fast.

I am Joanne and you can call me Jo.

I’ve been a photo nerd since I was a kid and I still get excited for every session. I feel very grateful that I love what I do for a living and I appreciate how rare a thing that is.

I currently live in San Diego and moved here from the North Shore of O`ahu where I raised my daughter. I go back to the islands for Photo Sessions every couple of months so we can plan ahead for a session there!
